A great fancy shoe that is flattering, comfortable, and appropriately-priced is hard to come by, and when you find it, you should never let it go. The queen of Spain knows.
Today, Queen Letizia stepped out for a day of engagements in Madrid, and on her feet were none other than Sézane’s Paula Babies pumps—her absolute favorite shoes of the moment. The old-school-inspired Mary Janes are round-toe slingbacks with little buckled straps and practical (but flattering) block heels. Letizia has them in all sorts of shades.
Today, she wore a black-and-white colorblock pair, but we have also seen her in the creamy white, wine-red, and glossy black variations.

Usually $215, the shoe is currently on sale for $150 on the brand’s website, in certain colorways.

The monarch paired her timeless low heels with an all-white set from Mango: a boxy jacket with silver bubble buttons and classic straight-leg trousers. She kept the ensemble minimalist, adding just a bit of shimmer via a pair of little diamond studs.
As for glam? Well, you can never take Letizia’s maroon smoky eye away from her.
The queen wore the fresh ensemble to attend a meeting with a representative group of Roma women and the Secretariado Gitano Foundation (a Spanish non-profit, intercultural organization that works for the equality of the Roma community in Spain and across Europe) at the foundation’s headquarters.
The royal wore this exact same look last fall, to the Retina ECO Awards in Madrid, proving once again that outfit repeating can be so chic—regal, even.
