Paul Mescal and Gracie Abrams Mark Their Red Carpet Debut With a Kiss

The 2026 British Academy Film Awards (BAFTAs) have been one for the lovebirds. Just ask Paul Mescal and Gracie Abrams.

Making their official red carpet debut nearly two years after they were first seen together, the couple showed up to the Southbank Centre’s Royal Festival Hall in London for an evening of celebration.

For the occasion, Abrams turned to her go-to fashion house, selecting a Chanel dress from Matthieu Blazy’s 2026 Métiers d’art collection. A longtime ambassador of the French label, the artist wore a black sleeveless dress trimmed with teal-blue beading and embellished with aquatic motifs in varying shades of red and brown. The open back highlighted the star’s extra-short bob and long diamond earrings.

She kept the rest of her accessories minimal, opting simply for a statement diamond ring and black pointy-toe heels. She matched her nails to her dress with a deep-brown polish, and kissed her beau on the cheek.

Mescal, who previously won the BAFTA Television Award for Best Actor (2021) for his work on Normal People, was nominated tonight for Hamnet, up for Best Actor in a Supporting Role. He stopped for photos with Abrams, wearing a black Prada suit. He left his jacket unbuttoned and the collar of his white dress shirt open for a relaxed feel, and folded over the cuffs to seal the deal.

In addition to the actor-musician couple, the BAFTAs not only saw Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner, but also Prince William and Princess Kate. Love was truly in the air.
