Nikki Glaser told PEOPLE she has no plans to hold back when it comes to making fun of celebrities at the 2026 Golden Globes

The comedian and actress said even "plus ones" will be on her radar

The 83rd annual Golden Globe Awards will air on CBS and stream on Paramount+ on Sunday, Jan. 11, at 8 p.m. EST

Nikki Glaser has no plans to hold back when it comes to making fun of celebrities at the 2026 Golden Globes.

"Everyone is fair game. I really feel that way," the comedian and actress, 41, told PEOPLE exclusively at the Golden Globes' red carpet rollout event at The Beverly Hilton on Jan. 8.

"I was even thinking, like, 'Oh, I'll leave plus ones alone, they don't deserve it. They're not there being honored,' but I feel like [that's fair]," she continued.

"There's some people that are protected figures, and, like, other people might get upset on their behalf, but that's really none of my business," added Glaser. "And if the person that I'm doing the joke to laughs, I think that's a reason enough for me to do it."

Glaser hosted the Golden Globes for the first time in 2025, which made her the first solo female host in the award show's history.

Weeks later, it was announced that Glaser would return as host in 2026, with Golden Globes president Helen Hoehne praising the star's "refreshing spark and fearless wit."

Glaser is keeping the success she previously found in mind when it comes to her 2026 jabs, which she told PEOPLE all come from a lighthearted place. "I'm not gonna be so mean that anyone is going to hate me for the rest of their careers, or I'm gonna have to avoid them the rest of mine," she explained. "I'm writing from a place of love, and I wouldn't do a joke about someone that I actually didn't like."

"So if I do write a joke about you or do a joke to you, it's because I admire you and I think that you are probably cool and have a good sense of humor," added Glaser. "I don't do jokes about people who I just don't think are cool, and that I don't really even care to talk to or give the time of day."
