Nicole Kidman's daughters might be following in their famous mom's footsteps.
The actress spoke with PEOPLE at the red carpet premiere of her new television series Scarpetta in New York City on Tuesday, Mar. 3, and was asked if her two younger daughters — Faith Margaret, 14, and Sunday Rose, 17 — would ever star onscreen with their mom.
"I mean, I can't answer for them. The thing that we all know about children and when they become young women, don't answer for them," responds Kidman. "Don't tell them who they are or what they are. They're there to tell you who they are. And so you would have to ask them."

But would Kidman like having her kids on set?
"I would just love to have them with me at all times, all the time," she says. "They're always like, 'Mama, mama. You can't have that.' But yeah, would I be interested in that? Of course. I just want them with me."
"They're a part of me, and they're my loves," adds Kidman.
The actress shares her two younger kids with ex-husband Keith Urban. She is also mom to daughter Bella and son Connor, whom she shares with ex-husband Tom Cruise.

This past December, a source told PEOPLE that the Babygirl star spent Christmas alongside her two younger girls amid her split from ex Urban.
"Nicole and the girls are in Australia for Christmas. This is all she wanted after a tumultuous fall,” said the source of the star, who was seen smiling with her naturally curly hair on display at a Christmas Eve party with her daughters. “She just wanted to celebrate Christmas at home. She's very excited.”

After nearly 20 years of marriage, the Oscar-winning actress filed for divorce from Urban on Sept. 30, citing “irreconcilable differences.”
In November, a source told PEOPLE that Kidman and Urban’s daughters are splitting their time amicably. "Their daughters live with Nicole, but spend as much time with Keith as they want,” the source said. “There is no drama."
Another insider added in early December, “Nicole and Keith continue to co-parent. The focus is on their daughters. They both want to create a stable and supportive environment for them."
Court documents obtained by PEOPLE revealed that Kidman and Urban agreed to a parenting plan, which includes refraining from speaking negatively about each other or their families.
The plan states that the former couple will "encourage each child to continue to love the other parent and be comfortable in both families." Both Kidman and Urban were also required to attend a parenting seminar within 60 days of the divorce filing.
Kidman was designated the primary residential parent, per the documents, spending 306 days with the girls, while Urban will have them for 59 days annually.
