Things between Timothée Chalamet and Kylie Jenner have apparently taken a turn for the worse. As we approach the 98th Academy Awards, word is that the two could soon be splitting up. Timothée is in the running to collect a golden statuette on March 15, and his girlfriend is not front and centre in his life, according to sources.

Reports suggest the Marty Supreme actor is “set to finally ditch the reality TV star.” He and Kylie are nearing the three-year mark as a romantic couple, having started dating in April 2023.

Image is a big deal when you’re seeking an Oscar. As a result, Timothée is reportedly “distancing himself from her (Kylie),” according to RadarOnline. This is said to be a part of his push to finally claim that elusive golden statuette.

He lost out on an Oscar twice before. Insiders believe that Academy members pay attention to who you are with, which may influence their vote.

One tell-tale sign that things are going south between them goes back to Valentine’s Day. Timothée didn’t arrange any special plans with his girlfriend for the occasion.

Meanwhile, there’s a hint suggesting Kylie is also ready to move on. She called her mom, Kris Jenner, her Valentine online, rather than her boyfriend. In December, it was reported that Timothée had “gotten everything he wanted” from his relationship with Kylie.

Recently, Timothée was honored during a screening of Beautiful Boy. This came during a week of viewings featuring the actor’s hits, including A Complete Unknown. Elle Fanning served as moderator.

Sources say being affiliated with a public event featuring a respected actress like Elle could positively influence Oscar voters. They say Kylie is unlikely to have that same effect on voters.

Despite all the rumblings that he’ll be leaving her, Kylie seems loyal to her man. She is said to believe that Timothée will make it up to her after the Academy Awards.
