You would think I host parties all of the time with the amount of different glassware I own. There are the drinking glasses, the wine glasses (different types for red and white), champagne flutes, high balls glasses, low ball glasses, martini glasses—you get the idea. I actually had a set of margarita glasses at one point but then realized I have a serious glassware addiction, so those went out with a box of other donations.

The thing is, glasses are just so pretty. They sparkle in a glass cabinet and can add a chic element to a tablescape. And HomeGoods isn't helping my glassware habits at all, because their latest Valentine's Day drop is an A+ all around.

Seriously, HomeGoods has every type of glass you can imagine in a Valentines-themed style, including dupes of Anthropologie's Icon glasses with red and white hearts (so cute).

As you can see from the video posted to HomeGoods' Instagram page, the offerings are impressive. If I didn't already own a set of pink champagne flutes, I'd be all in on those flutes with the tiny red bows and red stems. And the wine glasses with red bows at the stem? They are beyond sweet.

What Shoppers Are Saying

Lest you think I'm the only one ready to hit HomeGoods for its Valentine's wares, the comments section of the retailer's Instagram video is teeming with folks who want to get their hand on these glasses. The number of heart eye emojis alone is impressive.

"So cute, I need it all," said one fan in their comment.

Others admitted they're already stocked up on these pretty little things. And still another managed to sum up my thoughts exactly.

"Running," they wrote.

How Many Glasses Does a Household Really Need?

Short answer? Probably less than most of us own (I know I'm guilty). But you do need enough to get through everyday life without constantly running the dishwasher.

For a typical household, a practical setup looks like this:

Everyday drinking glasses: 8, these are for water, juice and soft drinks

Wine glasses: 4 - 6, even if wine isn't your main thing

Mugs: 2 - 4 per person if coffee or tea is part of your routine

Multipurpose glasses: 4-6, thinking along the lines of stemless wine or low ball glasses for cocktails

Where things get extra is specialty glassware, like the cuties shown above. You don't really need a full set unless you entertain often, but having a couple can make moments feel special.
