Anakin's *Revenge of the Sith *locks were just too luscious to be real.
The actor behind the iconic antihero, Hayden Christensen, broke the news that his flowing mane in the third entry in the *Star Wars *prequel trilogy wasn't all that it seems to the audience at Fan Expo New Orleans on Friday, Jan. 9.
Discussing the props and trinkets he absconded with from set over the course of production on the prequels with comics writer Victor Dandridge, Christensen admitted, "I kept one of the wigs from *Episode III*." After a smattering of laughs and applause, Christensen joked, "Full disclosure: that's not my real hair."

"I have a couple of the little Padmé braids from *Episode II*," Christensen continued, referring to the character played by Natalie Portman, with whom his character shares a tragic love story and two children. The 44-year-old actor teased "a couple of other little knickknacks" he took home, but joked, "I probably shouldn't talk about [that]."
But talk about it he did, adding that he has "a couple of lightsabers" that "maybe I wasn't supposed to take home with me." Christensen recalled how, while filming in Australia, "I was trying to figure out how to get this one lightsaber back. So I packaged it up, and I shipped it as a didgeridoo. I told them I bought a didgeridoo, [because] I wanted them to send it back to Canada for me."

Wigs aren't uncommon for actors to wear to maintain continuity between setups and reduce time spent in hair and makeup.
The most iconic *Star Wars *hairstyle, Princess Leia's side buns — affectionately referred to as "space buns" by fans — was, in fact, styled using Carrie Fisher's real hair. But that doesn't mean Fisher liked it.
In 2015, the icon joked to PEOPLE that had she ever mistakenly divulged any spoilers on the original trilogy, "I would have been sentenced to wear that awful hairstyle from the first film."**

Christensen is no stranger to fan conventions. Last summer, he reunited with his old master, Obi-Wan Kenobi (Ewan McGregor), on stage at Fan Expo Chicago, where the pair engaged in a playful lightsaber duel to the delight of the hardcore fans in attendance.
