*Beverly Hills, 90210 *actress Kathleen Robertson has opened up about a snippy situation she experienced on the set of the hit teen drama.

The Canadian star recently called joining the cast of the show in a season 4 recurring role in 1993 a "super intimidating" move that made her "very nervous and very anxious" from the start.

"It was horribly difficult," she said in a new interview on the *Slice of Life* podcast.

"It was the biggest show in the world. For me — I can't speak to anyone else — it was not a warm and fuzzy environment to land into," Robertson added of the dynamic among the Fox series' cast, which at the time included Jason Priestley, Shannen Doherty, Jennie Garth, Luke Perry, and more.

Robertson even revealed that she made a shocking discovery in the makeup trailer ahead of her first shoot amid the ongoing cast drama.

"There were Polaroids back in that day. They'd take Polaroids — continuity Polaroids," she said. "I'd see my Polaroids in the makeup trailer cut in half. I don't know who did it."

She recalled asking the makeup artists why one photo had been sliced. "They were embarrassed because they didn't want me to have seen it," she said. "They were trying to protect me."

Though Robertson said she "could take it" and didn't let it rattle her, she added that the tension "certainly had an effect on me in terms of how I worked moving forward" as the female lead on the 2014 series *Murder in the First, *which made her aware of how "difficult it is for somebody to come into an environment like that."**** Robertson, who joined the main cast of *90210* for seasons 6 and 7, did maintain that "some of the actors were very welcoming," including Tori Spelling, who "was amazing, day one, warm, amazing, welcoming," though she doubled down on the "rough" feeling other costars had toward her as she integrated herself into the on-set family.

She ended the interview by responding to a question about realizing that she needed to leave the show when she did. "I've got to get out of here," she remembered thinking. "If I don't, I'm f---ed."

Rumblings about cast division have long followed the *90210* actors, though Priestley opened up about his relationship with Doherty in early 2025 following her death one year before.

"At the time, while Shannen was sick, whenever I had the chance to spend time with her, I made sure that I said all the things that I wanted to say to her," he said on the *I Choose Me With Jennie Garth *podcast. "So when she did pass away, I feel like her and I had said everything that we needed to say to each other, which I think gave me some closure right away."
