After decades of friendship, there’s bound to be some things that irritate Ben Affleck and Matt Damon about one another.

The longtime pals appeared on the Today show on Tuesday, Jan. 13 to talk with Craig Melvin about their new film, The Rip, and their lengthy friendship. During the interview, Melvin asked the Oscar-winning pair what their “least favorite trait” about one another was.

“Um, not great at cleaning up around the house,” Affleck, 53, said of Damon, 55. The pair were roommates prior to the duo making it big in Hollywood.

“Hey! When I was younger,” Damon countered.

“Well, that's all I have to go by,” Affleck explained, adding, “I mean, we could ask your wife and see if it's gotten better.”

But Damon wasn’t eager to question his wife, Luciana Barroso, replying, “Let’s not.”

As for what Damon’s least favorite trait about Affleck is, the Bourne Identity star said it was Affleck’s lack of punctuality.

“We got here this morning and Ben was three minutes early. He got here before me and that's the first time in 45 years he has not been late,” Damon claimed.

“Oh my god, that's a complete myth,” Affleck insisted. “I work hard. I'm doing other stuff.”

Affleck then joked that Damon was living “the life of luxury” as an actor, saying, “You come out of the trailer and everything's done magically. How do you think he gets that way, but it's fine.”

The two playful pals also shared their “favorite” thing about one another with Affleck giving a sincere answer about Damon.

“I mean, you want me to be serious and kind of schmaltzy or is it just… because the truth is he's a really, deeply, fundamentally good man, good father, good husband and a really good guy,” Affleck said of Damon.

Of course, Damon then responded, “Uh, I got nothing,” which Affleck laughed off, saying, “I so set that up for you.”

The longtime friends recently spoke to Howard Stern about navigating the highs and lows of one another’s personal lives.

“Our relationship isn’t affected by what people are saying,” Damon told Stern of Affleck. “I was there for all of it.”

“That means a lot to me,” Affleck said to his longtime collaborator. “That's sort of what a real friend is.”
