‘Below Deck’ Star Nathan Gallagher Arrested on Domestic Violence Charges

Below Deck star Nathan Gallagher was arrested and charged with three domestic violence offenses last December, stemming from an incident reported to have taken place in Sydney, Australia.

According to Rolling Stone, citing a police memo, Gallagher was arrested on December 27 after allegedly assaulting an unnamed 29-year-old woman at a Sydney-area apartment complex the day before. He was charged with “assault occasioning actual bodily harm, intentionally chok[ing a] person without consent, and common assault.”

No serious injuries to either party were reported and Gallagher was later granted conditional bail. It is not known how Gallagher pleaded to the charges as of writing.

While the police memo did not name the alleged victim, a corresponding court case lists Gallagher as the subject of an Apprehended Violence Application filed on behalf of fellow Below Deck cast member Gael Cameron, per Rolling Stone. Gallagher and Cameron share a young child.

A court hearing has been scheduled for Tuesday, September 1.

Gallagher and Cameron met while filming the ninth season of the Bravo reality series and began a relationship. In June 2025, they welcomed a son, Kayden Cameron-Gallagher. The currently airing season of Below Deck Mediterranean follows the couple as they adapt to life as new parents, with Gallagher juggling his super-yacht duties and fatherhood.

Fans on the Below Deck Reddit forum reacted to the news, with one commenter writing, “I was wondering why he never posts anything on social with the baby and now it all makes sense. The past episode was so pleasant without his weird insecurities and antics.”

“How has this not been public up to now? Did Bravo know about this when the season was being edited?” said another.

“This is so disturbing and sad,” another added.
