Anne Hathaway Tells Fan to Be ‘Patient’ When Asked About Her Baby’s Gender
According to E! News, on August 16, Anne Hathaway attended the D23 event where she officially joined Disney’s Hall of Fame, accepting the Disney Legend honor. When she made her way to the stage, a fan shouted, asking, ”Boy or girl?” She replied, “Oh, just be patient,” while cradling her baby bump, as she added, “You’re gonna find out in five minutes.”
The witty remark was a clever way of dismissing the question because she and her husband had decided not to share the gender of their third child.
During an episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, she appeared on the show to promote her film, The End of Oak Street. Host Anthony Anderson discussed the Devil Wears Prada star’s pregnancy, calling himself a “baby whisperer” and saying that, based on her baby bump, he believed ‘it is a boy.’He asked whether his guess about her baby was correct. She burst into laughter and clarified, “We know; we’re not saying.”
When the host did not press her for an answer, she added, “Thank you for the support. I always feel so rude saying. I feel so bad.” He joked, “So, this year you’re releasing five movies and a baby.”

Hathaway said she does not find the experience stressful, calling it ‘incredible’ while continuing to work and make memories.
‘Fake Hair, Real Bump’
Anne Hathaway’s exchange with the fan was not the only time someone tried to speculate about her pregnancy. When she announced that she was pregnant for a third time, some people speculated about her pregnancy, claiming that her pregnancy was fake.
But the Ocean’s 8 star decided to shut down the theories once and for all without calling out anyone. Instead, she posted a reel on her Instagram, showcasing BTS scenes from the premiere of her latest dinosaur-disaster movie, The End of Oak Street. In the clip, she was seen waiting for her hair and makeup team to finish preparing her for the event.
She captioned the post, “Fake hair, real bump.” She wore a blue silk crop top with an elongated train and a pair of low-rise denim jeans, highlighting her baby bump.
